Zero Dead-Leg & Low Flow Obstruction Sanitary Sensors
Recognizing the need for Ultra Clean Process
Measurement capability, Windridge Sensors has introduced a
revolutionary new line of sanitary ultra-clean and flush-fit temperature sensors and fittings
that can be inserted into aseptic process lines without creating pockets, crevices or
process "dead legs" that trap product during processing. This hygienic insertion
technique ensures maximum sterility, cleanability and performance.
The insertion and sealing technology used also allows sensor tips to be created that
minimize the obstruction to product flows through an
ultra-low profile style that
barely protrudes beyond the inner pipe surface, or to have
multiple measurement points
taken simultaneously across the radius of a pipe.
The "Keyhole" sanitary sensors are based on 3-A certified
patent-pending technology that replaces standard "T"s, elbows, inverted
reducers and flow-through isolators. To find out more about the patent-pending
seal technology, check out our Design Principles page.
Although new to the market, the technology has been
fully proven within an international food manufacturer over many years.
Windridge Sensors has now acquired the license to market the
technology worldwide.
Trials within the Food Science Pilot Plant facility at
NC State University
have also confirmed that the Keyhole Sanitary Sensor system
provides a novel and effective method for inserting measurement probes
into aseptic processing lines without risk of product
contamination during operation or following CIP procedures.
